Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Vendor & Brand Partnerships
- Research, identify, and evaluate vendors across India who can act as one-stop solutions for multiple product categories such as edible snacks, hampers, lifestyle products, and curated merchandise.
- Research and recommend a minimum of 20 high-potential brands for direct partnerships aimed at offering exclusive deals and rewards for client employees.
- Engage with vendors to assess their assortment depth, pricing competitiveness, quality standards, and operational capabilities.
- Lead vendor onboarding processes, including documentation, commercial alignment, and operational readiness.
- Conduct periodic on-site visits to vendor fulfillment facilities for audits and quality checks.
Relationship Management & Operations
- Manage day-to-day communication with vendors for client-specific requirements, customization requests, and concept/mock-up development.
- Oversee product and gift hamper sample management, including logistics, packaging coordination, and timelines.
- Manage end-to-end order execution, including order tracking, returns management, and inventory/replenishment coordination.
Festive & Seasonal Program Enablement (e.g., Diwali, Christmas)
- Plan assortments and vendor partnerships well in advance of major festive seasons to ensure timely and scalable employee gifting solutions.
- Collaborate with vendors to negotiate special festive deals and exclusive offers for Diwali and Christmas catalogues.
- Continuously drive innovation in traditional gifting categories (e.g., dry fruit or snack hampers) to differentiate from competition.
- Contribute ideas toward assortment innovation, packaging, marketing narratives, and go-to-market strategies to enhance overall appeal.
Commercials, Pricing & Negotiation
- Research market benchmarks and typical client budgets for various gifting occasions through vendor discussions and market intelligence.
- Recommend optimal pricing strategies aligned with client expectations, margin objectives, and competitive positioning.
- Lead commercial negotiations with vendors to ensure favorable pricing, margins, and service-level agreements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with internal Sales and Marketing teams to manage client inquiries, sample requirements, and assortment presentations.
- Participate in client calls to support product solutioning and vendor capability discussions when required.
- Enable Sales teams with vendor insights, brand stories, assortment recommendations, and partnership strengths for client engagements.
Desired Skills & Competencies
- Hands-on experience in vendor partnerships, strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement, preferably within the gifting or merchandise space.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to build and sustain long-term commercial relationships.
- Good understanding of retail and lifestyle brands, festive merchandising, and supply chain operations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- High ownership mindset with a strong execution focus and the ability to perform in fast-paced, seasonal business cycles.
- A proactive, solution-oriented attitude with a strong “get-it-done” approach.
Experience & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in assortment sourcing, vendor management, or brand partnerships within the gifting, retail, or merchandising ecosystem.
- Experience in developing merchandise or gifting solutions from scratch will be an added advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as the role involves continuous interaction with external partners and internal stakeholders.
- Established vendor network and the ability to identify and connect with the right sourcing partners.
Additional Details :
1. Working Days: 5 days (Monday to Friday)
2. Working Time: Flexible start time between 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM – 8.5 Hours of working
