- To lead the sourcing strategy of Merchandise and vouchers; Create competitive advantage and USP. Develop and nurture vendor partnerships and strategic alliances
- To closely interact and collaborate with regional buyers / merchandisers across the clients offices for creating and implementing timelines of regional catalogues, PO management and MIS reports
- To own and manage back-end operations of Merchandise catalogue management (creation / edition of SKU) for our India and global offices.
- To run and share the MIS reports regularly on periodic levels
- To lead the efforts on import shipments
How would typical day would look like:
- To work with existing and new vendors; Interactions with customer service and finance; interaction with the US office colleagues
- To run the MIS reports on daily/ Bi-weekly/weekly/Bi-monthly/monthly frequency. This would mostly be through SAP.
- Oversee Purchase order in ERP and co-ordinate with vendor or internal IT team on failed POs
- To make necessary changes in the existing SKUs – like cost / price / MRP / images etc.
- To perform regular audits / checks on SAP reports of SKUs across the regions
- To work on SAP and other ERP systems. This part will take maximum time of your KRA. This job includes –
- receiving the SKU creation files from vendors
- running audits on completeness of the data provided, run thorough check on product descriptions, images, currency etc.
- Interact and work with buyers and vendors to have complete and accurate data to create SKUs
- Work on set of ERPs – like SAP/Image uploads/JIRA etc. – to upload the SKU creation file
- Regularly checking the progress of SKU status / catalogue creation file once the above is pushed through other owners
- To be actively involved in virtual trainings / on-job training with India/regional merchandisers and other stakeholders to perform this job

Preferred Experience/Education:
- Education – At least graduate with full-time university degree (no distance learning). MBA would be added advantage and will be given preference.
- Ability to articulate and communicate thoughts and conversations
- Minimum 5 years of experience in handling Merchandising and related back end processes.
- We would welcome someone having merchandise experience with prominent retailer looking for back-office job profile mentioned above for this role.
- Must have – excellent and above average command over Excel maneuvering – including formulas like Pivot, Vlookup, conditional formatting, concatenate, “if loop” logic etc. Should be creative to audit and write product descriptions wherever needed.
- Should be excellent in co-ordination, following SOP and reporting.
- ERP system proficiency (SAP/JDA)

Timing: Flexible between 8AM-7PM
