About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Accounting & Reporting Analyst to manage reinsurance accounting, reconciliations, reporting, and financial operations. The role involves working closely with underwriting, finance, insurers, brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate accounting, timely settlements, regulatory compliance, and efficient reporting for the branch.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day reinsurance accounting activities for Treaty and Facultative business.
• Prepare and maintain reinsurance schedules based on monthly bookings, receipts, and payments.
• Perform Statement of Account (SOA) reconciliations with booking registers on a quarterly basis.
• Process treaty premium and GST payments within defined timelines.
• Ensure accurate accounting of receipts and payments related to treaty and facultative business.
• Prepare party-wise ageing reports, solvency reports, and Due From/Due To schedules.
• Maintain broker-wise and reinsurer-wise records for bookings, payments, and recoveries.
• Generate claims recovery advice and coordinate with insurers and brokers for timely claim recoveries.
• Coordinate with underwriting, finance, insurers, brokers, and internal stakeholders for monthly premium, commission, and claims data.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and MIS reports and resolve outstanding items through stakeholder coordination.

• Support statutory and internal audits by preparing required documentation and responding to audit queries.
• Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports covering Underwriting, Finance, and Operations activities for Head Office.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting, reporting, and operational processes while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

• Experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably within General Insurance or Reinsurance.

• Hands-on experience in:

  Reinsurance Accounting

  Treaty & Facultative Accounting

  SOA Reconciliation

  Bank Reconciliation

  MIS Reporting

  Settlements & Recoveries

  Party-wise Balance Reconciliation

  Ageing Analysis

  Financial Schedule Preparation

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MIS reporting.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
